Bollywood actress and TV star Shehnaaz Gill recently responded to rumors about her relationship with Indian cricketer Shubman Gill in a humorous way. Shehnaaz, who rose to fame on Bigg Boss 13, is now active in films and music videos, but social media has long been abuzz with speculation that she and Shubman are siblings, as they share the same surname, "Gill."
A Funny Answer in a Podcast
When Shehnaaz was asked on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast if she had any relationship with Shubman Gill, she laughed and said, "He must be my brother. He's probably from our side, from Amritsar. When he trends, my name also trends. Seriously, there must be some kind of brother-sister connection."
Shehnaaz continued, smiling, "I asked myself, and that's the answer I got. We're from the same side, so yes, there must be some connection. It's good, he's playing well, and he's very sweet." His reply is going viral on social media, and fans are calling it a funny and interesting reply given in the "Shehnaaz style."
Ganguly Praises Shubman Gill
Meanwhile, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly praised Shubman Gill, calling him the perfect captain. He said, "Shubman Gill is a brilliant batsman and a great leader. It's not easy to captain the team in England, but he did a wonderful job. He is an all-format player and the future of India." Ganguly further added that Gill's confidence and maturity set him apart from other young players.
Impressed Everyone with Record-Breaking Performance
Shubman Gill made history in his very first series as a Test captain. In the five-Test series against England, he scored 754 runs, including four centuries. He broke Sunil Gavaskar's previous record and set a new record for the most runs scored by an Indian captain in a Test series. Gill's performance impressed not only fans but also cricket experts. All eyes are now on the two-Test series between India and South Africa, where Gill is expected to deliver another big performance.
